As Filipino Catholics prepare to welcome the Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe this June, Jesuit Communications (JesCom) is extending a much deeper invitation.
This new journey that beckons is not just with Our Lady’s image across the Philippines but a cross-continent voyage to the very place where her miraculous story began—a pilgrimage to Mexico set for September 6 to 16, 2026.

The 11-day pilgrimage, led by Kape’t Pandasal host Fr. Fiel Pareja, highlights September 8th, the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This marked day will be spent in prayer at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, where Mary appeared as a Nahuatl-speaking indigenous woman, before Juan Diego on four occasions between December 9 and December 12, 1531.
In JesCom’s 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope pilgrimage to Italy, Fr. Fiel also served as co-chaplain, bringing the same beloved authenticity and approachability found in his creative, faith-filled videos. As one of the most recognized digital evangelizers in the Philippines, Fr. Fiel’s vibrant ministry of presence and inspiration connects effortlessly with younger Catholics reencountering their faith through social media.
For many, the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is already a familiar sight in churches.
However, standing up close before the preserved tilma that portrays Mary with the moon at her feet, her mantle covered with stars—venerated by millions each year—offers an entirely different encounter.
The pilgrimage traces a path through key sites tied to the Guadalupan story and Mexican Catholic heritage, including Cuautitlan, Ocotlan, Puebla, San Juan del Rio, San Miguel de Allende, and Guanajuato. Each stop is designed not as a tour, but as a space for prayer, reflection, and community.

At its heart is a simple question: What happens when faith is no longer observed from a distance, but rather lived step by step?
In a time marked by uncertainty and noise, a pilgrimage offers a time to listen, to walk, to be still.
And perhaps, to hear again the words spoken at Tepeyac nearly five centuries ago:
“Am I not here who am your Mother?”
For those who feel called, the path is now open.
