Radyo Katipunan

Radyo Katipunan (87.9 MHz) is a low-power FM campus radio station owned and operated by the Jesuit Communications Foundation in coordination with the Ateneo de Manila University. Its studio is located at Sonolux Building with its transmitter located within the university’s Loyola campus. Radyo Katipunan serves as a community station of the Ateneo campus. Radyo Katipunan airs Mondays to Fridays from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, except holidays.

Every Catholic’s favorite JesCom Sunday gospel program is now finally on radio, straight from Rome, Italy! Join Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle of Manila, the new prefect of Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples every Monday at 11AM as he continues to deliver God’s message in a sincere and soothingly way in which he is known for. The Word Exposed is a living testament of Cardinal Tagle’s unfaltering commitment to God through media evangelization in which he started over a decade ago with Jesuit Communications.

The longest-running morning spiritual supplement on Philippine television is now heard on The Voice of the Blue Eagle. Kape’t Pandasal is a daily bite of prayers and reflections made possible by JesCom in partnership with ABS-CBN that helps viewers and listeners to start and live their day with hope and optimism. Curated by Fr. JBoy Gonzales, SJ (Mondays), JesCom Executive Director Fr. Emmanuel “Nono” Alfonso, SJ (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), Fr. Kali Llamado of Manila Cathedral (Thursdays), and Chief Editor Ms. Rissa Singson-Kawpeng of Kerygma Magazine (Fridays), it airs on Radyo Katipunan 87.9FM at 10AM.

The flagship newscast of Radyo Katipunan, RK News serves as every Atenean’s window to what’s happening around the world, across the Philippines and down to the hills of Loyola. Powered by Rappler, Voice of America and PAG-ASA Weather Bulletin, RK News is anchored by Anthony Perez, and it runs for five days a week at 12NN (every Mondays and Fridays) and in the morning at 8AM (Tuesdays to Thursdays).

Lead X stands for the extra-curricular life of the Ateneans in college that transforms them into leaders and at the same time, into men and women for others.

Created by the Loyola Schools Office for Student Activities, Lead X is a 1-hour radio program that talks about the happenings, in, around and beyond the college life in Ateneo’s Loyola Schools. Hosted by Neil Reyes and Gino Flores, it airs every Monday at 9AM.

Atin ‘Yan is Ateneo’s weekly after-lunch bulletin board on-air that gives updates on the latest happenings within and beyond the Blue Eagle’s nest that makes Ateneans fly high. Join Cholo Malilin and Chris Castillo of the Loyola Schools every Monday at 1PM.

“Dati Akong Paraluman” is an hour-long radio show hosted by Jay Gomez that gives listeners a rundown on the latest and tributes in arts and culture, with guests from the community that molds every Filipino’s imagination and appreciation in creativity. It happens on Mondays, right after the 3 o’clock prayer.

Have you ever wondered how Ateneo prepares every kid’s young mind and soul for a brighter future in an ever-changing world?

Join the JeJeJe triumvirate of Jerome Garcia, Jeff Velasco and Jenny Salvaña of the Ateneo Grade School Campus Ministry as they discuss the salient matters that surrounds these little Blue Eagles, and the Ateneo’s way of making these children a people for others to attain the MAGIS at early age. Batang Atenista comes every Monday at 4PM.

Join Fr. Nono Alfonso, SJ for an hour of talks featuring fellow Jesuits and other guests and their perspectives over relevant issues and topics in light of Christian values, Ignatian spirituality and ministry on The Jesuit Hour.

It also comes with a Thursday edition in partnership with John J. Carroll Institute on Church and Social Issues (JJCICSI), where the program serves as avenue to air social concerns and advocacies with guests from various marginalized sectors.

The Jesuit Hour airs from Tuesday to Thursday at 11AM.
