Radio

Our radio presence encompasses both inspirational reflection and community engagement. “Pasakalye: Sunday Songs and Reflections” offers a moment of light banter and uplifting music as we accompany listeners on their search for the right path. This thirty-minute reflection and prayer program, hosted by JesCom Executive Director Fr. Nono Alfonso, SJ, airs every Sunday at 5:30 am on Radio Veritas 846 kHz AM. Beautiful melodies from the Jesuit Music Ministry create a serene atmosphere, enhancing the inspirational experience for our audience.

JesCom also owns, manages, and operates Radyo Katipunan 87.9 FM, the official campus radio of Ateneo de Manila University. Known as the “Voice of the Blue Eagle,” Radyo Katipunan has become a platform for truthful communication, public service, and values-enriched programming since its soft launch in February 2018. Guided by the goals of Information, Instruction, Insight, Inspiration, and Identity, the station has established itself as the leading media voice of the Ateneo community, fostering truthful information, community-building, and shared values.

Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Radyo Katipunan emerged as a vital platform for university-wide gatherings and notable events by partners of the Ateneo de Manila University’s mission. Its role as a provider of truthful information and community-building became increasingly evident, earning the station a special place in the hearts of listeners. The daily mass program, “Keep the Faith: Daily Mass with the Jesuits,” first aired on March 19, 2020, and has since brought hope and inspiration to millions of viewers locally and abroad. The program has received heartfelt testimonies and staunch support, establishing a thriving virtual parish.
