Description
The Ignacio de Loyola Original Movie Soundtrack features the music of Maestro Ryan Cayabyab performed by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ateneo Chamber Singers.
Cayabyab’s research on medieval to early renaissance music greatly influenced his compositions to capture the spirit of 14th century Spain. He recorded the film scoring with a full orchestra by sections at the JesCom studios.
The music was brought to life by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ateneo Chamber Singers under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga in a one-night-only showing of Ignacio de Loyola at The Theater at Solaire on the 23rd of July 2016. It was the first time in the Philippines that a full-length feature film was screened with a live performance of its musical scoring.
The Ignacio de Loyola Original Movie Soundtrack includes:
- The Sword of Loyola
- Dance with Catalina
- Montserrat
- Darkness and Light
