For six years now, Pamaskong Handog has been more than a Christmas outreach program for Radyo Katipunan 87.9 FM. It has become a genuine expression of the #OneBigFM’s identity as a station with and for others—a space where faith finds voice, generosity takes shape, and hope is shared, one story at a time.

In 2025, Pamaskong Handog marked its sixth year with a renewed focus on solidarity and service. Partnering with the Society of Jesus Social Apostolate–Philippines (SJSA), Radyo  Katipunan dedicated its latest outreach to supporting scholarships and community programs for underserved students and families. The initiative encouraged audiences of the Ateneo de Manila University’s campus-community radio not only to give wholeheartedly, but to journey together in compassion—keeping the faith by sharing it.

At the heart of Year 6 was “Christmas Caroling of Hope 2025,” a nine-night online fundraising concert that aired from December 15 to 23 on Radyo Katipunan’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel. Hosted by the station’s dedicated program anchors, the concert brought together an exceptional lineup of musicians, choirs, and ensembles who offered their talents as gifts of prayer and encouragement.

The series opened with Hangad, setting the tone for nine evenings of reflection and generosity. The following nights featured the Blue Symphony Orchestra, TINIG Barangka, the Ateneo College Ministry Group (ACMG), Koro Ilustrado, the University of the Philippines Rondalla, and the Philippine Suzuki Youth Orchestra—each performance exploring themes of hope, light, peace, gratitude, love, and community.

The final night, December 23rd, brought the season to a stirring close with Team Noel Artists, led by multimedia guru Noel Ferrer and featuring Toma Cayabyab and Debonair District, Mike Shimamoto, Kakki Teodoro, Phi Palmos, Vic Robinson, and Arman Ferrer. The evening also included a special appearance by JesCom Executive Director Fr. Emmanuel “Nono” Alfonso, SJ, underscoring the deep collaboration between music, media, and mission.

Beyond the festive performances, Pamaskong Handog Year 6 stood firmly on the shoulders of the years that came before it—years marked by concrete acts of service. Beginning with distributing food packages to hundreds of families and frontliners during the COVID pandemic, to supporting communities affected by typhoons and crises, the outreach has consistently translated broadcast faith into lived action. These efforts also reflect a mission-driven partnership with JesCom and SJSA, as well as a commitment to make media a conduit of hope.

As Pamaskong Handog runs its seventh edition many months from now, Year 6 leaves behind a clear message: when faith is shared, it multiplies. Through music, storytelling, and collective generosity, Radyo Katipunan continues to prove that even in a crowded airwave, there is always room for compassion—and that Christmas, at its heart, is best heard when it is lived.
