In a heartwarming celebration of true love’s colors, Hangad Music Ministry successfully launched its first-ever inspirational love album, “Bawat Pintig,” last June 29th, Saturday afternoon at the Quantum Skyview, of Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City.

Before an enthusiastic crowd, the Jesuit Music Ministry (JMM) chorale group bound by their common desire to help others know God through music, brought to life through their harmonious singing, the love language of soothing, comforting touch. Each song in the “Bawat Pintig” album depicts hands intimately communicating different expressions of love- for God, country, family, friends, and loved ones.

With ‘Bawat Pintig’s” vibrant colors of red, green, and blue lighting up the stage and sprawling LED ceiling display, Hangad opened their concert with “Cantare Amantis Est”, followed by hymns expressing divine love, such as “I Beg to Fall In Love with Thee My Lord”, “Pag-ibig Kailan Pa Man,” and “Pag-Ibig Ko,” composed by Fr. Charlie Cenzon, SJ.

As one experiences love across different stages in life, Hangad’s sweet lullaby “Oyayi” and stirring rendition of “For One More Day,” paid tribute to one’s family, especially the unconditional love of parents for their children. The choir then captivated the packed crowd with a cover of “Kailangan Kita,” popularized by Ogie Alcasid.

With their treasured memories of singing at many weddings through the years, Hangad then shared the lasting joy and blessing of Holy Matrimony with “On this Day” and the Fr. Jboy Gonzales, SJ composition,  “Panunumpa,” alongside guest choir Himig San Isidro of the SILP Music Ministry.

Hangad then resumed with a glimpse into the fond moments of married life with “5 Minutes,” before a remarkable performance of their carrier single, “Bawat Pintig”.

The crowd then waved to the melody of Hangad’s uplifting cover of  Yeng Constantino’s “Hawak Kamay,” before clapping in unison as the choir sang “The Love I Feel”.

As the festive afternoon drew to a close with Hangad reminding their fans to always show and spread love each day through their heartfelt way, former members of the choir went up stage for a resounding encore number of the Broadway hit, “Seasons of Love”.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your love. Special mention to the following for whom we are especially grateful. May God hold you in the palm of His hand,” continued the choir as they thanked co-organizers  J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), Gateway Mall 2 and Araneta City, as well as JesCom and Jesuit Music Ministry for the overwhelming success of their memorable “Bawat Pintig” album launch and concert.

In addition, Hangad also thanked the contributions of media partners Limang Siglo, Radyo Veritas DZRV 846, and Radyo Katipunan 87.9 FM, while acknowedleging suppliers Soundcheck, Salvaje Event Services, Pancipane Tents, and Red Cross Marikina.
