Amidst the vibrant festivities of Ateneo de Zamboanga’s Ateneo Fiesta 2023, Jesuit Communications (JesCom) took center stage with the “CONNECT: JesCom Fair 2023 Campus Tour,” a two-day event filled with exciting attractions on December 8–9, 2023. This marked JesCom’s inaugural out-of-town stop, showcasing its diverse programs, products, and services to the dynamic university community.

Expanding Success from Cubao to Zamboanga

Following the triumph of “CONNECT: JesCom Fair 2023” in Cubao last July, the Campus Tour hit the road, making Ateneo de Zamboanga its first destination. JesCom was well-represented by Digital Marketing Manager Joanna Armenta, Digital Marketing Officer Rose De La Vina, Sales team member Roma Escaner, and Jesuit Music Ministry Coordinator Rey Malipot.

Interactive Booths and Exciting Prizes

Similar to the Cubao event, the Campus Tour featured engaging booths representing various JesCom units. Students and passers-by were treated to an array of party games like balloon pop and ring toss, with opportunities to win enticing prizes and collect giveaways.

Booth highlights included the Jesuit Music Ministry (JMM), offering bookmarks and fans, and JesCom Sales, where attendees could check out CDs from JOSH (JesCom Online Shop) and other JesCom Tag merchandise. Limited copies of “Balik Lantaw: Diary of a Jesuit Missionary,” Jesuit Communications’ recent publication recounting Fr. Mat Sanchez SJ’s remarkable journey among the Umayamnon indigenous community, were also up for grabs.

Sneak Peek into “GomBurZa” and JOSH Live Entertainment

Adding to the excitement, attendees had the chance to win official merchandise from JesCom’s upcoming historical film “GomBurZa,” an official entry to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). The creative JesCom TV photobooth provided free snapshots, and students were encouraged to join JOSH Live hosts Rey and Roma for a musical jam session—where Ateneo de Zamboanga President Fr. Ernald Andal, SJ also participated.

Thanking Ateneo de Zamboanga for the Warm Welcome

With the successful staging of the “CONNECT: JesCom Fair 2023 Campus Tour,” JesCom expresses its gratitude to its partner Jesuit institution, Ateneo de Zamboanga, for the warm support and the opportunity to bring the fair to their campus. The event served as an excellent chance to introduce JesCom’s programs to the students, with the hope of inspiring more youth through the organization’s ministry of media evangelization.

The Campus Tour not only provided entertainment and prizes but also showcased JesCom’s commitment to engaging with diverse communities across the country. At the end of back-to-back eventful days, the JesCom team left Zamboanga with gratitude, energized by the warm reception and eager to continue its mission of spreading inspiration through the digital landscape.
